What is Metallic Epoxy Floors?

Metallic epoxy transforms ordinary floors into one-of-a-kind works of art. Specialized metallic pigments suspended in clear epoxy create flowing patterns, stunning depth, and a glass-like finish that can't be replicated—no two floors are ever identical. From swirling rivers and marbled veins to liquid metal and cosmic effects, metallic floors make a statement in any space.

How It Works

We diamond grind the concrete to create a clean, consistent surface profile, then repair cracks and surface defects as needed. A pigmented prime coat seals the floor and creates a uniform foundation for the metallic layer. Clear epoxy loaded with metallic pigments is then applied at heavy coverage and carefully manipulated with rollers, brushes, and other artistic techniques. As we work the material, metallic pigments flow and settle at different depths—this is what creates the signature 3D effect. A ceramic clear topcoat adds glass-like clarity, scratch resistance, and UV stability.

Ideal For

Basements and entertainment spaces
Showpiece garages
Retail environments and showrooms
Salons, spas, and barbershops
Commercial lobbies and offices
Restaurants and bars

Key Benefits

One-of-a-Kind Designs

No two floors are alike—each one is a unique masterpiece created during application

Stunning 3D Depth

Metallic pigments settle at different depths as we work the material, creating true visual dimension

Glass-Like Clarity

Multiple sanding steps between layers create an ultra-smooth, reflective finish

Extreme Durability

Multi-layer system with chemical resistance, scratch resistance, and UV stability

Low Maintenance

Seamless surface is easy to clean—just sweep and mop

Concrete-First Installation

Best suited to properly prepared interior concrete where the decorative finish can stay clean, stable, and consistent

Why We Build Metallic Floors in Multiple Layers

Metallic epoxy requires proper foundation and technique—shortcuts lead to bubbles, clouding, and dull finishes. Each layer serves a specific purpose, and we sand between every layer for the smoothest possible finish.

1

Prime Coat

Concrete

Seals the concrete, reduces outgassing risk, and creates a clean, uniform color base before the decorative metallic layer.

2

Metallic Epoxy Application

Concrete

Clear epoxy loaded with metallic pigments applied at heavy coverage. We manipulate the material while pigments flow and settle at different depths. Lightly sanded for topcoat adhesion.

3

Ceramic Clear Topcoat

Concrete

Thin-film ceramic technology adds glass-like depth and clarity. Superior scratch, chemical, and UV resistance.

Our Installation Process

1

Surface Preparation

Industrial diamond grinding to remove contaminants and create a flat, consistent profile for the metallic build.

2

Moisture Testing

Non-destructive moisture testing on concrete to assess slab conditions and determine whether mitigation is required.

3

Crack and Joint Repair

Addressing cracks, joints, and surface imperfections so the final metallic finish stays clean and visually consistent.

4

Prime Coat

Applying a thin pigmented epoxy prime coat to seal the concrete and create a uniform color foundation for the metallic layer.

5

Light Sand

Sanding the prime coat smooth—critical for the glass-like metallic finish.

6

Thin Pigmented Prime Coat

A thin epoxy base coat that seals the surface to prevent outgassing and creates a uniform, deep color foundation.

7

Light Sand

Sanding the prime coat smooth—critical for the glass-like metallic finish.

8

Metallic Epoxy Application

Clear epoxy with metallic pigments applied at heavy coverage. We manipulate the material to create swirls, waves, and organic patterns while pigments settle at different depths.

9

Light Sand

Final sanding to ensure perfect topcoat adhesion and eliminate any surface imperfections.

10

Ceramic Clear Topcoat

A thin-film ceramic topcoat for glass-like depth and clarity, superior scratch resistance, UV stability, and chemical protection.
