Quartz broadcast flooring is an industrial-duty system built for severe wear and wet conditions. Ceramic-coated coloured quartz granules are broadcast twice into 100% solids epoxy to build a dense, slip-resistant surface 1/8-inch thick (125+ mils). This double-broadcast structure provides five times the physical thickness of a standard flake floor for heavy impact and mechanical abuse.
How It Works
Quartz requires two full coat-and-broadcast cycles. After mechanical diamond grinding, we apply the first 100% solids epoxy coat and broadcast quartz granules to complete refusal. Following an overnight cure, we repeat the process with a second epoxy coat and second quartz broadcast to refusal. The floor is then locked in with a high-solids polyaspartic seal coat. Standard installations take 3 days.

Why We Use a Double-Broadcast Technique
A single broadcast cannot build the structural mass required for industrial wet rooms and heavy rolling loads. Two complete cycles create a dense aggregate matrix that resists thermal shock and heavy point impacts.

Moisture Testing
Non-destructive moisture testing to assess concrete conditions. Elevated moisture requires a Moisture Vapor Barrier before proceeding.
Moisture Vapor Barrier (If Required)
When testing shows elevated moisture levels, we apply a vapor barrier that protects the system from moisture transmission. Requires overnight cure before proceeding.
First Epoxy Coat + Quartz Broadcast
100% solids epoxy base coat with quartz broadcast to full refusal (complete coverage). Concrete must be minimum 28 days cured.
Second Epoxy Coat + Quartz Broadcast
After overnight cure, second 100% solids epoxy coat with quartz broadcast to refusal. This double-broadcast creates 1/8"+ thickness.
Polyaspartic Topcoat
Commercial-grade UV-stable polyaspartic seal coat for chemical resistance, easy cleaning, and long-term protection.
